Porto Editora, one of Portugal's leading publishers of educational and cultural materials, announced Tuesday it was investing euros 860,000 to launch a new publishing house in Mozambique.
In a communique, Porto Editora said its Maputo-based subsidiary, Plural Editores, would be officially inaugurated Thursday in the presence of Mozambique's education minister, Alcido Nguenha.
It said it was already responsible for publishing a "great part" of Mozambique's school materials and that Plural Editores would count on the expertise of many Mozambican specialists and authors.
Porto Editora was honored this year as Portugal's best publishing house.
